There is currently no class action lawsuit against Hartman REIT. However, a number of investors have filed individual lawsuits against the company alleging that they suffered losses as a result of the company’s alleged mismanagement and fiduciary violations.
In March 2023, Hartman REIT announced that it was suspending distributions to investors and that it was in “substantial doubt” about its ability to continue as a going concern. The company’s stock price plummeted following the announcement, and many investors lost significant amounts of money.
A number of investors have since filed lawsuits against Hartman REIT and its founder, Allen Hartman, alleging that they were misled about the company’s financial condition and that Hartman breached his fiduciary duties to investors. In addition to the individual lawsuits, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is also investigating Hartman REIT. The SEC has not yet filed any charges against the company, but it is possible that the agency could take action in the future.
