Power Home Remodeling Group Class Action Lawsuit Alleges False Advertising and Deceptive Sales Tactics
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Power Home Remodeling Group, a national home improvement company, alleging that the company engaged in false advertising and deceptive sales tactics.
The lawsuit, which was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, was filed on behalf of a group of homeowners who allege that Power Home Remodeling Group made false promises about the quality of its work and the cost of its services.
The plaintiffs allege that Power Home Remodeling Group:
- Made false promises about the quality of its work, such as promising to use only the highest quality materials and workmanship.
- Misrepresented the cost of its services, such as failing to disclose hidden fees or charging more than the agreed-upon price.
- Used deceptive sales tactics, such as pressuring homeowners into signing contracts without giving them enough time to review the terms.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages for their financial losses, as well as an injunction to stop Power Home Remodeling Group from engaging in these practices.
This is not the first time that Power Home Remodeling Group has been accused of engaging in deceptive practices. In 2016, the company settled a class action lawsuit for $5.2 million, in which homeowners alleged that the company had made false promises about the quality of its work and the cost of its services.
The company has also been the subject of several consumer complaints, including complaints about shoddy workmanship, hidden fees, and high-pressure sales tactics.
Power Home Remodeling Group has denied the allegations in the class action lawsuit. The company has said that it is committed to providing quality services to its customers and that it will vigorously defend itself against the lawsuit.
The case is still pending in court.
